Add Third Party VST Effect

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi, I'm LMMSReallySucks! (Irony, if you do not understand it) ...

You see, I have a small problem with LMMS dating back to the fact that I would like to produce metal for LMMS, and I should install some effects for the electric guitar from third parties. I tried to put plugins in the "LMMS Work Directory" and "LADSPA Plugin Paths" folders, but it does not detect them, although I notice that LMMS is using them. Because? And above all, how do I install third-party plugins? Thanks in advance.

That i dont understand, especially the italic, but let that rest, because i believe the answer to

is found here:

But DO make sure that your effect pass the 5-point-test

Lmms does not do too well with vst-effects. Often made settings are not preserved! I have advised a method to 'fix' that problem:

If I remember correctly, you're supposed to put vst plugins and vst effects
in lmms' Vst plugins folder.

Friend,
i tried. It does not work, it does not detect them, even though they are open for LMMS.

Okay, this part confuses me.
So the Vst's gui's (graphical user interface), are opening and showing up in lmms?

If not, could you explain in more detail, what you mean there? :geek:

unfortunately, the top link doesn't work, so don't waste time on it. Time of course has passed a lot, but maybe someone knows how to solve the problem?
Are you having that issue?
You cant load VST-effects that you have in your VST-plugins-folder? -Nor does they appear if you open any FX-tab ?

please answer the abowes and post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype (Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version
So far I got all my plugins working with this method:

I even used guitar effects myeself. Although none of my VST3 effects work. (I don't think LMMS supports VST3 yet?)

It even bridges my 32bit and 64bit VSTs. So are you sure they're not VST3 effects? (Like Amplitube 4?)

Correct. Not yet
