File seems to contain error and could not be loaded!

Hi
Ive been working on a project for the past 3 weeks. I saved it again as usual, but this morning i tried opening it and it displayed an error message. I tried recovering it using the .bak file, and that didnt work either! Is there a solution for this, because I really don't want hours of work to go to waste

Wow! This is a strange problem.
So you used the Bak. file and that didn't work. Interesting.

Did you use a 3rd party vst plugin, in your project?
If so, can you tell us the name, of that vst plugin and the
version of Lmms, that you are using?

Also if possible, please tell us your computer specs and the OS that you're using.
eg. win10, or mac osx etc.
That way, we can pinpoint this problem easily.
