Crash upon opening settings

Hi all

I just installed LMMS, and it crashes every time I try to open the settings menu.

I have already jumped over a hurdle where it wouldn't even start when I tried to launch. I did this by making a .lmmsrc.xml file by copying this code:

Now it launches and it seems to work fine, I just crash every time I go for the settings menu. I'd really like to be able to use my MIDI keyboard.

i think you can set your midi keyboard this way till you find a solution (sorry if you cant, i dont use midi keyboards(yes im not a producer):)

Remove lmms-1.1.3 (backup your projects...) and upgrade to the latest beta of 1.2.0. The issue is probably fixed already.

You will be fine if you follow zonk's advice, -you could also try to just alter a line in your file, but honestly, if you only have lmms 1.1.3 installed, then you should update anywitch.
If you on the other hand already have installed 1.2.0 RC6, and it is that one that crashes, then try this line:

<lmms version="1.2.0-rc6">

instead of

Code: Select all

<lmms version="1.1.3">

But! If you only have 1.1.3
* Backup!
* Uninstall
