Static in Dubstep "Wub" Using Controller

Hey all.

I've got a dubsteppy wub sound in my song as bass. I'm using a controller set to go up and down attached to the volume slider in the mixer. The problem is that it's generating this hissy, harsh, static noise as it goes up and down. I think it's caused by some kind of micro-clipping as the volume is raised and lowered, but I can't get rid of it with EQs or the like.

Has anyone encountered this, or knows how to fix it? Thanks!

That is quite difficult to solve. perhaps the volume on the instrument will react better to the controllers signal, but the best is most likely a real automation, because i think the artefact is caused by the controller in connection to the bound slider. Try those two ways
