I think I maybe broke LMMS...

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Here I was making a little melody (i'm new to the program) and everything was nice and swell...

And then I wanted to drag around an established melody in the piano roller. For some reason I thought I had to press alt while doing this... And pressing alt + click and drag on my melody caused for the tunes to sound all noisy and bad :(

I tried restarting it a few times, and the first few times I restarted it my settings were reset, and no matter how often I changed them, it just wouldn't take. So I restarted it until it actually kept the settings that I put in for it. But even with the right settings, the noise remains. So I think I broke LMMS. :(

My version: 1.1.3
My laptop specs: Win. 8.1. core i7 and 12gb ram. 64bit processor.
My settings:

And I tried all 3 of these.. =

Yet the static sound remains.
I don't know what else I can do to fix it.
I'm going to restart my pc and see if that helps...
Edit: Nope.. Restarting my laptop didn't fix it :/ I still have ugly crackly sound, and the playback holds onto notes for longer than it should, it's like my song is literally screaming at me with some weird banshee demon screech... x_x

Naa, 'broke' is not it, but you use backends, that is not the best, but lets address this in small steps:
First: Update!
Our RC6 is production-stable, and it is recommended, over 1.1.3
So:
*Back-up your own stuff
*De-install current installation
*move the config dot-file
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... h_Settings
*remove your current installation-pack
*download a fresh new installation-pack either x32 or x64 of
LMMS 1.2.0 RC6 Orange buttons!
https://lmms.io/download/#windows
*re-install as administrator

Then in Settings
Chose backend to SDL -That is best for all windows versions
