LINUX AppImage: SampleTrack File audio won't stop playing

I'm trying to make an edited version of an already existing song (A remix, I guess), and when I drag the file (.OGG) onto the Sample Track, it plays fine, but the audio doesn't stop when I press pause, only if I delete the track. I don't know if I've somehow messed up on this, or if it's just buggy in general? I've only had this program for like,, 2 days, so it's entirely possible I just don't know what I'm doing.

How long is the sample and what is the size of the sample?
Are you using Lmms 1.1.3?

The file is 3:31, and 4.8 MB. And yes, I'm using 1.1.3

I recommend you to upgrade to 1.0.2-RC7, but your issue is strange.. you describes what it is you are doing, and that should not cause that 8´|
..I wonder, if you have tried to restart your pc, instead of sleeping it?

I also like to know your OS, and amount of RAM

Yes, possibly it is a bug fart we can repair the version or just try to save your project and restart the program

A newbie to lmms here.
Specs : Linux Debian Stretch / 9 , 32 GB ram ,quad processor.
LMMS version 1.1.3

EDIT: Downloaded the latest (1.2.x AppImage) and this works fine with the wav and ogg files in Sample Track.


I am expereincing the same problem as mentioned here.
Imported an 68 MB / 6 mins. length wav file into Sample track.
This is an mp3 original file that i exported to 16-bit wav and also ogg format with audacity. Both files yields the same results.
It plays fine but when click the stop button song continues to play. The timeline indicator actually stops as expected. Only way to stop is to close program
I did up the buffer size in settings, restarted , with no change in results.

I think we have a linux exclusive issue. I cant reproduce on windows.
I does not matter weather i use
* pause
* stop
* space-bar
The music from the sample-track stops emediately :|

I would appreciate if a linux-user would retest this issue, and if it indeed is so, we need to post on tracker

Just to clarify. This was happening on lmms -1.1.3 / native package for Debian Stretch /9
When I downloaded the 1.2.x AppImage everything works fine.
