No sound output on Ubuntu even though output is selected

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi,

Installed LMMS on Ubuntu Linux and configured it to use JACK. I've checked and found that the output of LMMS is patched to the system-output, in QjackCtl (i.e. patching seems proper).

LMMS settings are set to be:
  • Buffer size = 512
  • Audio interface = JACK
  • MIDI interface = ALSA Sequencer
However, I am unable to get any sound what-so-ever from LMMS. What gives ?

regards,
f74

Installed LMMS on Ubuntu Linux :: unable to get any sound
Sounds (nopun:) like you have a wrong release.
Remove current, and get:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... 4.AppImage

Install as AppImage.
Let us know the outcome :)

So the LMMS that ships with Ubuntu (I mean the one available from official repos) is different from the AppImage ? I will give it a spin for sure, as I do have other audio apps working perfectly fine on this setup, but was curious.

Yes AppImage is the current most updated version. I believe repos ships with 1.1.3
