Settings in VST won't save when restart LMMS, bug?

I am trying out free VST-plugins, I came across a few, like VACS2. It works perfect and I can add and change how mutch I want. But...when saving the music file, and then close and open LMMS again and open the file...All settings in VACS2 has dissapeard, I can not even play or find anything in the program (the name on the strings, arp, bas is gone untill I reopen the vst again and do all settings again) so I have to reopen the plugin and do the changes again for it to work.

Is there a way to save the settings in the program?

same goes for Club Voltage, sadly I did use this for a long time and I do want to use it again. I love that plugin and its free also.

Yeah. Unfortunately, some vst's work well, but give some problems in Lmms.
That might be due, to the code in certain vst's and lmms, being different from each other.
Which could possibly explain, why you can't save your settings.


I'll definitely check out this VAc's and Club Voltage and run some tests
on my PC tomorrow, to see if i can replicate this problem.

Are you using Lmms 1.1.3, or the latest RC release candidate?

Thank you. I'm so glad I found LMMS, it is so mutch smaller than the program I used before and best of all free!

I'm using the "Stable Versions 1.1.3",

Should I give "1.2.0-RC7" a try? Or is it not stable? If so, Is it just to uninstall the stable one and install, will it keep themes and settings that I've done?

PS. I have tried LMMS for a month and found alots of vst that works amazingly well that is not in the list of tested once here. I'm trying to find more vst for use and maybe rate. I will post a list on this forum also, maybe a few every week in a thread.

EDIT: I did uninstall 1.1.3 and installad the "1.2.0-RC7". Now it works, it saves all the settings when restarting! Also 2 other vst that didn't work with the other version works now!

Yes the RC-serie will allow for much better VST-support than earlier version. You should however always preform the 5-point-test

Thank you. I've accouly been here a few times but not created an account. But I really wanted the plugin to work so I hoped it was getting support, and it had already got that just didn't know the difference on RC.

Good system, 5 points, I accouly followed them. After I got problem with one vst.
