Song Editor/Piano Roll zooming in/out during loop playback

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello,

First time poster here. I'm trying to adjust one measure of a percussion track to blend better with a short guitar riff within that same measure. So, I'm looping just that measure in the song editor so I can play with the drum 'notes' in the piano roll and get everything in sync.

I've done this before with no issue, but NOW both the piano roll and song editor are 'popping' in and out while the loop plays. The zoom reads 100% on both, yet the beats, notes, bars, and measures expand and contract as the loop plays. It's making things tough, that the spot I'm trying to insert a note suddenly shrinks and expands again, so that I'm placing notes hither and yon.

I've futzed with the auto scroll and the button that toggles where playback restarts after stopping, but to no avail.

Any help would make my day. It's the little things that bug me most :p

That sounds very strange!
Are you using Alpha1.3 or 1.2.2?
The way to do what you want is this:
Thank you so much for the response! I am using LMMS 1.2.2. My situation is a little different than that of the video. I am using an acoustic drum plugin through vestige, so I'm editing in the piano roll just like any other instrument, as opposed to the beat/bassline player.

Here is a clip I made of exactly what I'm experiencing:

I am using LMMS 1.2.2.
Fine!
Here is a clip I made of exactly what I'm experiencing:
That looks like the time-signature is automated
Have you done that?
If not then it would have to be a cmd from an imported MIDI-file
Do you use a MIDI-file that you have imported?
If you do, and you want to get rid of that automated change:
Right click the time-signature settings, and select "Remove-global-automation". That should get rid of the time-signature changing.
It wont influence how the music sounds, but it will make changes to how the quantification looks / is drawn in piano-roll
If it has nothing to do with time-signature, i will need to see the project, but try the fix above first :p
Let us know the outcome.
