already installed wine and vst-full after lmms, vestige does not want to open synth1 the following error appears :

The VST-plugin /home/dx/Synth1/Synth1 VST.dll could not be loaded for some reason.
If it runs with other VST-software under Linux, please contact an LMMS-developer!

I have Lubuntu 18.04 Bionic
2Gb Ram

Not the right package. Get our latest linux-to-go here:
the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... 4.AppImage

first uninstall, then reinstall -Let us know the outcome :)

hello musikbear I downloaded the file but I'm not sure how to install it I made it executable and executed it but nothing happened

l investigate how to install it from the terminal and the following error appears:

Code: Select all

./lmms-1.2.0-rc7-linux-x86_64.AppImage: can not execute the binary file: Incorrect executable format

I make it executable with the command:

chmod + x lmms-1.2.0-rc7-linux-x86_64

Forget to mention I have 32-bit system can that be the cause?

I'm so happy right now!

I was able to make Vestige work right now! This is what I did:

note : i am using an online translator i hope you understand what i am writing

uninstalled lmms
uninstalled lmms-vst-full
uninstalled wine

once you uninstall all those packages you need to install in order as seen below:

1# Wine Staging
2# kxstudio-meta-wine
2# lmms-vst-full

don't install lmms! go to the terminal and type winecfg you will see the wine configuration window search where it says windows version and change it to windows 7 click apply and accept now you can install lmms install it and open it and go to >edit >configuration within configuration search sync VST plugins to host playback deactivate it if you have it activated and that's it, it works!

Great! And yes the AppImage is indeed a 64bit linux-version, so that was the reason, that you was unable to install that.
I will take this up with the Devs.
