Pitch and speed of notes

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
HI I was just wondering if there is any way that the speed of notes can be kept the same when using a higher or lower pitch? When I try to detune a melody for the intro of a part of the beat it makes the rest out of sync by like half a second. Another example would be layering melodies means that the higher pitched one would be a lot quicker than the lower one.

Thanks

Not in lmms, no. I don't know what external tools can be used for this either but there should be a VST sampler out there that can.

No, its like Zonk says

But that where it becomes annoying, because there is no free VST-sampler that can.
Linux sampler can 'kind of' -It wont do the tune-and-stretch for you, but its also only with linux :|
A long discussion about using soft-samplers, went down, but the net-result was simply dismo..
Grace 1.0.4.9 has been reported to work, but for me it failed
It also do not scale one sample over many keys, again you have to that manually with f.i. Audacity
It is free, solid and well maintained
We dont hesitate to recommend it :

So the short answer for " is there a scaling-&-stretching sampler for LMMS" .. is (sadly) No.

Besides that, since you are new in Forum
