Note repeat and audio loop in the beat program section

When I add a sample into the beat maker section, I noticed I can’t play the whole sample, it’s onky in the Song view I can add that sample in and draw in the midi to make the whole loop play. Is this how Lmms works, am I able to add loops in the other section where I program my drum sounds, also is it possible to program note repeat sounds, like for example 1/16 note hi hats eyes etc

How long is the sample?
If the sample is several minutes, it should be regarded 'background-music' and then you should use a sample-track for the long-sample.

But i have to ask you : What are you trying to achieve?
Are you trying to use LMMS as a looper-engine like sony-ACID? -Eg, Putting a song together with blocks of samples?
