Spectrum analyser plugins

Hello,

I am having difficulty trying to get spectrum analyser plugins to work.

I would like to be able to see all the channels at the same time and have greater control than the built in spectrum analyser gives me.

I read online to make one work in LMMS, i need to add it in the effects window on the FX channel, that will allow the plugin to read all the channels and display the frequencies as it is playing.

The problem i am having is when i drop the DLL file into the folder where the effects plugins are located, it does not show up when i navigate to it in LMMS via the FX channels effects window.

Can anyone assist in how i can get this to work to help me with mastering of tracks?

What plugin DLL is that?
Are you on RC8?

I have tried a few,

All behave the same way so i am guessing there is something i am missing.

tried
Voxengo
DR analyser
Spectror
should work..

And by that you mean that you cant find any loadable item in the FX-selection inside LMMS, even though you have the dll in the LADSPA fx-plugins-folder ? -yes?
...idk :|
Its too stupid to shout 'reinstall' ...

Voxango SPAN i know for a fact that it works !
Try and delete the dll, then unpack a new one, and copy that in
Can you show us the path ? copy-paste or screenshot

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, i suppose i could try a reinstall, i am always Nervous to reinstall something if i am half way through a project.

I will unpack a new DLL first, if that does not work, i will paste the pathway i am dropping the files into.

OK,

I unpacked a new file, (Spectror), not showing up in LMMS FX Window.

Pathway i am pasting files into,

C:/Program files/LMMS/plugins/ladspa

i will reinstall as a last resort.

Update;

So far i have extracted new DLL and put in to folder, not working.

Uninstalled LMMS, downloaded fresh RC8, reinstalled, not working.

I am puzzled as to why i cant see the DLL's i am adding into the folder at the pathway above.

There is no navigation to other locations possible from that window?

What happens if you put it, in the vst plugins folder?

It had not made a difference before, however, i will try again now that i have reinstalled.

I took your advice on another thread to do with mastering and used built in 'Equaliser' plugin together with the FX mixing channels to master, i can noticeably hear a difference, appear more......well, Equal.

Just to consolidate
C:/Program files/LMMS/plugins/ladspa
IS the path you have in Settings, and that is where you have the dll?

Do use voxngo SPAN, because i know it works
