Record/Piano Roll not registering

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I tried searching for any similar errors, but most were too common to be searched, so apologies if this has already been answered.
When I open piano roll and hit record, I'll use my keyboard (computer keyboard) to play, and it lists the notes as being recorded, but when playing it doesn't seem to register if multiple notes are pressed at the same time- it'll only play one of the notes. It is fine, however, if I stagger the notes so they don't start at the same time- but with shorter notes this isn't really a feasible solution. Anyone else have problems with this or know how to resolve?

Does this happens with a LMMS preset or a VSTs ?
My guess would be, that you have a preset with a MONO-selection active, That one would never be able to play a stack/ chord, but would always only play one note

Retry with one of the presets in default trippleOSC's folder, or even better, a new trippleOSC, draged in from myInstruments in sidebar

If that was not the reason, please post your:
* OS (+service-pack-version)
* lmms version
* lmms sound device chosen
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* lmms instrument involved
* lmms preset (if a factory preset is used)

Besides that, since you are new in Forum

It's happening with Nescaline with some various changes I made, mainly just stacking it. Oddly, so long as the notes don't start at the same time, it'll play stacking them.
*OS: Linux Mint 18.1, Serena
*LMMS version: 1.1.3
*Sound device: Unsure?
*Hardware:
*Kernel: x86_64
*RAM 2443MiB/3002MiB
*Processor: Intel Xeon CPU W3550 @ 3.07GHz x 4
*Sound card: HDA-Intel 82801JI (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller
*Instrument: Nescaline at defaults
*Preset: I just changed a few dials and stacking
Thanks for the welcome, and the link I'll certainly be reading! I'm glad to see a community here, as I'm quite happy with the quality of LMMS

ah! You have an outdated LMMS
I recommend you to upgrade!

*If you have made anything ...Back-up your own stuff
*Un-install current installation
*(re)move the config dot-file
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... h_Settings
*download a fresh new installation-pack of
LMMS 1.2.0 RC8 Orange buttons!
Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... 4.AppImage
In Linux RC8 Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!!

Let us know the outcome :)

*Sound device: Unsure?
That is this setting:

But start with the update :)
New LMMS looks really nice, but I'm still having the same problem. The sound device field is blank
I found a way to continue despite the problem- I just set the piano roll from 1/16 to 1/192 and adjust the notes so they don't occur at the exact same time but close enough for it to work for me. Of course this still needs to be fixed, but this is a workaround

set the piano roll from 1/16 to 1/192
You should absolute do that when you capture notes!
If you do not, your timing on the keys, will not be the timing that is captured. Instead that will be the nearest Q-value to your timing!
It will iow be completely wrong!
