How much audio length can audio processor instrument provide

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello there, I have added a custom sample to this instrument, but it just plays back a really high pitched squeak. Does this instrument only work with 1 - 3 second samples. Because the one im using goes for 60 seconds.
Did you put the note on the right key ?

The same key as were the green block is above, A4 ?

I have inserted "samples"of 5 minutes and longer, so I don't think there is a limit.

Hello there
Hi, Welcome to the Forum Empire44 !

Exactly as GPS says: To get the original sample pitch, you need to insert the note at the note selected as Base-note

in your piano-roll.

No, it plays for the duration of the length of the note, that you have inserted in piano-roll! Do for your 60 secd sample, you would need a 60 secd long note

But LMMS has a more suitable tool for samples that long: Sample-track

This container can even be used as a looper, witch open an option to actually use LMMS just as the famous 1997 program Sonic-Asid

Thanks for your reply, I have another question though. I've made some preset files with an instrument. They are saved as .xpf. I'm confused on how to open a preset though. Factory files work fine as they come up in the my presets folder, not my custom ones though.

They should show up after the factory presets and after you refresh the list (circular arrow button) or restart lmms.
