Time signature oddities

Hell all . . .

I'm having trouble with setting time signatures.

The piece I'm working on has a lot of 'half bars' when working in 4|4.
It makes cutting and pasting pretty difficult.
So I set the time sig to 4|8 instead, and the Song Editor rearranges all the tracks correctly, so I can now easily cut&paste the sections with half bars. But . . . . The next time I press the play button, everything resets itself back to 4|4 again !
Any ideas?

Yes, you have imported a MIDI- right?
That creates (pesty) midi-cmds in the file. You need to throw them out!
Right-click the time signature-gadget, and choose 'Delete global-automation' afair..

Thanks for the reply, and the fix . . . it worked!
(The project didn't import any MIDI, but was based on a template from an older project, which did)
