Hello

I managed it on my ubuntu studio distro by adding kx studio repo and then install the
lmms-vst-full package.

Before this I uninstalled wine.
Oooo.. there are possible confusion here
WHEN did you uninstall WINE?

Tutorials need to be 100% precise, but logically i think you mean:
1) Uninstall WINE
2) Install kx-studio-repo
3) Install LMMS AppImage (we do not have anything named "vst-full package")

Is 1, 2, 3 the correct procedure?
What I did:

1) Uninstall WINE
2) Install kx-studio-repo ( a software repository for ubuntu/mint)
3)install the lmms-vst-full package (ie older version of lmms 1.1.3 + full vst support via preconfigured wine
3) use LMMS AppImage (doenst need to be installed like windows lmms, just download and use!)

3 You installed 1.1.3 from KX-Studio, and then on top of that, you copied the files from AppImage1.2.1?!??

What version does it show you, when you press 'Help'? My guess is 1.1.3
Not an expert on KX repositories, but there should be a newer version, then just 1.1.3.

This might be the right place to ask: https://linuxmusicians.com/index.php

The appimage works fine for me on openSUSE though, but I also have to install wine to have vst working.

Nope I use the 1.2.0 appimage and it works like a charm.

Its just that I have both 1.1.3 & 1.2.0 on my laptop.

As the aappimage doesnt need any installation that works well.

Then you ask for issues! There is only one config-file, and it will mess up one of the installations.
If you want to use more than one installation (but WHY??!) you actually need two separate 'Documents-folders'. Only way go have that, is to use a VB and two separate installation of windows, and that would be insane
Backup
Uninstall everything
Install 1.2.1 only!
I already have 2 separates lmms folders.

1 is lmms1_3 & is pretty empty and the 2nd is name lmms2 and contains my work etc...

That makes no issue for me it is a working setup :)

And well I dont use win$ my setup runs on linix.

Then this is me Image
Let me clear this up. :)

Sahaathyva, does not have a problem.

What he did, is uninstall wine.

Then he through the package-manager, installed LMMS 1.1.3 with full vst support.

( this will cause his distro to install wine too ;) )

He is using the appimage file version though, not the lmms from the package manager.
Its a trick to get a good working wine for lmms.
Yep tottaly true!

Its the most easy and efficient trick I found.
