dont work anyway
That screenie is not an -Alt+TAB event
If you hold Alt and press TAB, you wont see an empty pane, you will see all the Apps curently running in the backfround, and since LMMS IS running, then at least that will be inside the pane!
Try again
Alt+TAB

And that is after you have pressed the Show GUI button?
How long does the little blue ring rotate before it disappear?

well its not a hang then....
Have you installed LMMS inside your OS folder?
Then you have permission issues, and you will have to take ownership of the LMMS installation, but thats only IF you have your installation inside folder Windows

Can you make a screenshot of the position of your LMMS folder, and include the path. The factory zasfx files should be in your Program-files
eg.
C:\Program Files\LMMS\data\presets\ZynAddSubFX
Do You have that folder?

Surely not all dlls?!
The only one should be the zynaddsubfx -if at all that
I cant figure out why some see this issue in win10. It has to be some admin versus user account issue, but i have not understood the connection.
Are you Oliver the sole user and was you logged in as Admin when you installed LMMS?

Since i cant reproduce, i really cant crack this fail :|

Besides that, since you are new in Forum

That makes at least sense, and i had a hunch ..
Have both of you actually installed 7zip this could be about protected dll-names in windows-defender .. The Official-virus in win10 :/

Because ..
If you do try to do advanced stuff on your system windows-defender may do something like this:
https://windowsreport.com/it-administra ... ed-access/
against You -The admin and owner! :/
