Problems with quick 808 slides

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello to all the lmms users here,

I have been using lmms for over a year now so I am quite familiar with all of its functions and I'm currently using version 1.2.

The problems I'm having is when you slide an 808 sample down quickly using automation there is this real nasty crackling sound. I have not experienced any problems sliding up quickly only down.

I would just like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem and if there might be anything I can do to resolve this issue.

I'm a trap/ UK drill producer BTW.

Thanks for reading and I would greatly appreciate responses.

Can you tell us what precise sample this happens with?
(Best would be a tiny demo project)
If happens with any sample I use and I've also tried using 3xosc and it has the same problem. I will try making a small demo project now to demonstrate this. Thanks for the reply.
Here is the small demo:

I couldn't recreate it with 3xOsc so I used a stock 808 sample.

A guy on discord solved the problem for me. Needed to change from linear to sync on AudioFileProcessor.

Feel like such a noob now, but a very happy one!

well .-ok, but that cost a lot of cpu, and its not necessary.
If you lower the volume, and set the envelope ans a filter, you can use linear-interpolarization. Also LMMS has a specific instrument for the effect you are looking for : Kicker!
That works perfect, and need no sample-interpolarization at all.
3oc also works, and with no interpolarization
I will do a tutorial for 808 type kick -Others may also have similar issues
Thanks for the advice musikBear and I think a tutorial on 808 slides would be a great idea. Maybe including the various methods using both samples and VST's such as 3oc and kicker.
Unfortunately I have not yet managed to achieve the 808 slide I'm looking for, using the various methods that I'm currently aware of.

If you think it would be helpful for you to understand, I could post a link to a youtube fl tutorial to give an example of the type of sound I'm looking to achieve in LMMS.
Thanks again for all of your help.

Yes! that would be super, because then i know what sound it is you are looking for, and how the 808 should sound, please do.
Here's the example starting at 9:10
