This array can split zasfx on a real 88-key+ synth-midi-kb
If you own that kind of HW you can assign groups on the midi-kb to different parts
Parts are subdivissions of sounds in a zasfx-preset.
They can be whole complete instruments -a Layer, but they can also be one specific added effect.
ZynAddSubFX is extremely advanced! It has capacities to do just about anything you can imagine, short of walking your dog..
This matrix support it as a live-performance Synth.

Is there any comprehensive guide for zynaddsubfx?
I tried to see a few videos made by cubician, but those videos don't really go over all the knobs.

No comprehensive guide. There is a paper, and i believe you can find it on github' zasfx project-page, but that version is a bit different from ours. I go through many of the dials arrays, and demonstrate features in my zasfx-tutorials
