LMMS equalizer confusion

When I turn it off, (by pass) I notice my track to be much louder.

This confuses me because the equalizer plug-in I used before, did not do this.
Easy Q.

I have an issue with Easy Q though. When ever wine gets an update, and I load an track with easy Q in it.
Lmms tells me it cant find easy Q.

Because all other vst I use don't have this problem, I want to stop using easy Q.

So I am trying out the new parametric? equalizer of LMMS.

That is bad! I would like to know if this is general for all linux, or distro dependent
In general we need to handle 'cant-find-xy' better, at least have a manual option, for the user to browse to the file in question.

I will have to do some testing.

I am using the new LMMS equalizer on a few tracks to cut the low end from the bass, to make room for the kicks.

The sound getting softer does not seem to appear here.
