Total newbie - LMMS and M-Audio Code25 integration

Hi all, I have only recently installed LMMS and happily working on my first track. I have used GarageBand in the past a bit and own a few Roland synthesizers that I played in aussie bands about 30 years ago (D50, Juno2, Fantom G6).
I bought an M-Audio Code 25 Midi Controller yesterday and I can get it to play instruments in LMMS fine but when I use pitch bend on the controller that does not come across into the track. Is it simply that I need to learn how to map the bender to LMMS or is it not possible? Surely it is and I just need to learn.

Those will be difficult to use unless they have an opportunity to connect to a modern MIDI-interfase.

This is your new MIDI-Keyboard -right?
It has drum-pads, and drumpads have sadly been difficult, but your pitch-wheel should be possible to connect, with this guide:
