VeSTige doesn't load my VSTs

So, I've seen a few others with this problem and tried everything they did, and nothing worked.
My problem is this:
I download a .zip VST, bring into my VstPlugins folder, and extract it. In settings, my VST directory points there. I can clearly see the .dll file. I drag VeSTige into the song editor and click the folder icon. In the file selection window, the same .dll file is clearly visible. I select it and hit "open". Nothing happens. No errors. No messages. VeSTige still says that no VSTs have been loaded, and not a single thing has changed. I just got LMMS a few days ago, and haven't messed with any settings. It simply doesn't work.
If it matters, I'm on the latest version of both LMMS and Windows.
Let me know if you have any ideas.

Lets test if VST works at all
You should try MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
It is very small in size, and you can just copy its dll to your VST-folder. Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win

Thank you! I've actually already installed MDA-Piano, after seeing your other responses to people, and it's the only VST that actually works. All the others have the problem I described before.

LMMS can use allot of vst, but not all.

Are you saying that the only VST you can make functional is MDA-piano?!?
And that is in 1.2.2?

Can you list the VSTs that you have failed with?
Btw-If they are VST3, then nogo. We do not support VST3 yet!
