How do i stop an sf2 sound from looping?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I tried using an sf2 and no matter what i did, it would not stop looping! I dont know if you can stop it from looping, but if you can, i would like to know. I am new to LMMS, so i dont know a lot about it. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

The only thing i can imagine is that you have a SF2-font with sound-effects(?), and that you only want a specific effect to play once? (Also called discrete or atomic)
Soundfonts should never loop, so there is something wrong with the soundfont, unless you actually mean AFP, and not soundfont(?)
This is our soundfont player:

Is that what you have trouble with?
If indeed it is, it should never loop, if it does, the font you have loaded is flawed. (in the picture the font is named accordion) That should however not mean you cant prevent looping! Use a very short note! In the note-dropdown:

In piano-roll, try 1/48 note-length. You can make the note snapless longer or shorter , by holding ALT as you drag the note to a new length. That way you should be able to make a note, that fits the length of the soundfont-output, and get a discrete non-looping output

Thanks for all the help. I dont know where some of this stuff is though, it may just be my soundfont. What tab is the note dropdown in? i cant seem to find it. I was also not able to find any instrument patches, which i dont know if i need to make it myself, install it, or something else. Again, thanks for the help.

No i wrote "in piano-roll"
That is a feature in piano-roll, where you insert your notes, and set the note length:

Its the 3. one from the left

That is different from soundfont to soundfont. Some has several patches, some does not. WE recommend the GeneralUser soundfont as default soundfont, because you then have full access to the MIDI-wave-table on your HW:
http://www.schristiancollins.com/generaluser.php, but that is not the only one, and any soundfont will work, but you must have one as default in Settings, otherwise you cant import MIDI-files.
