FIXED MAC people needed badly!! Pressing CRTL on keyboard doesn't do what its suppose to

Is there any other way to automate something besides pressing control?

A possible workaround solution would be using a virtual keyboard app, although I'm not sure if that works in combination with mouse click-and-drags.
I did a quick search and found this app, but there are likely better ones out there: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/50099/keyup

Hi, I used a standard usb pc format external keyboard to press ctrl. It just works as intended. My old internal Mac keyboard never understands ctrl and drag inside lmms,

I found that on my mac laptop holding the apple(command) key AND the "control" key while dragging the mouse seemed to work for me!
