How to have keyboard control only the active instrument?

Hi, I'm super inexperienced with DAWs and making music so bear with me if this is a stupid question!

I have a USB midi keyboard that I'm using to play, but I notice for every track I have to manually go into the midi input section and tell it to receive input from the keyboard. It's cumbersome and also, it makes it so that hitting a key will play a note from all of the tracks I've assigned to it, which is annoying as I usually only want to focus on one.

Playing notes with the keyboard (the qwerty one you use for typing, not the piano one) has the effect I want; it only plays notes from the track if you have its window selected. Is there a way I can get that same behavior from the midi input device?

Thanks so much!

Unfortunately that is the current functionality. We hope to have a better feature in next release. I dont own a MIDI KB so i have not tested this.
