Using effect VSTs in LMMS

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Naw. Looked at the github. No clear indication of any project specifically carried out to introduce VST3 support.

MFab: if the file is a .dll format, it is VST2 and can be used. If it's a .vst3 format it can't be used.
You can use a VST3 anyways: downloading software like jbridge (paid) or Element Kushview (free, but slightly confusing: if you do download it, feel free to ask for help), or alternatively use vstshell (it's somewhere on the net) to bridge your VST3s.
And musikbear... 1.3 supports VST3? How come I never heard of this? Brilliant!
I use LMMS V1.3 and I don't see that there is VST3 support.
Also, I'm trying to use the vst-effect called STFU (a free sidechainer) but the only format it has is VST3.
So I used Element to install it in LMMS but although it does embed the plugin, it's an effect plugin and therefore no sound is played and I cannot add the plugin as an effect of a track...

1.3 does not support VST3
..although it does embed the plugin,
It should not. Go to settings and change Embedding. It will be annoying to fetch the non-embedded-plugin from tray over and over, but atm that is what is needed.
