Trying to create sound clips under 1 Second

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Im trying to create sound effects that are less than 1 second but I cant seem to do so. I've tried the Export option that removes silence and that does not bring it under 1 second. Any Solutions?

Here's what it looks like on the Piano Roll.

Manually cut. Shorten release.
One of the Instrument Plugins LB 302 Bass Synth doesn't have the dial to shorten the release. As for manually cut, what tool is it to do it from LMMS?
No tool. use external audio editor like Audacity.

I can see You use an instrument LB302 as a preset
You need to make the sound produced by the instrument-preset sound like you want it to. You use an envelope for that The note-length should not be used as a method
...however LB-302 does not have an envelope..🙄
You need to use the feature CUT & DEC in combo, but it is still difficult ..
If you could make a sound example on Soundcloud or similar -could be discord, then maybe i can find a different solution that can create the same sound.
You can also link to youtube where a similar sound is used
add a timestamp where
Like @2:32 -> 2:55
Or copy the video-link at a specific time

Btw..
(When you use a Sample it is different. Then the size of the note is used, bit mostly for making sure, that the whole sample will be played, nit to shorten it)
I also can use the program "MediaInfo" to grab info on the actual lenth of the audio file without needing to play it. It shows the one I made that I tried to make under 1 second with the info of being 1 second and 712ms in length.

I made another sample with the "Vibed" instrument plugin, but If I cut out the release (REL) it makes that sound a bit weird like a bit of a pop like sound. I will play around with it a bit another time, since it was mentioned in another post i made about the pop like sound, Another member pointed it out that it is solved by making some changes to the envelope.

One of the solutions that was mentioned by Monospace is that I can edit that sound via Audacity, Though I would use Tenacity for for that due to the whole spying and data collection controversy that Audacity was involved with.

Tenacity fork Github

As for hosting the sound sample on Sound Cloud, I will get around to it when I get the time.

If you know and like the UI of audacity, you can use gitHub "Dark-audacity".

Anywitch..
NOW you are talking about Samples, and that is a way ofcause, but not if you want to automate cutoff or other 'Asid' like parameters, witch is the main function of LB302 -Eg an emulation of the famed 303 used in asid-trance
