update

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Good Day! how can I update my LMMS 1.2.1 version to 1.3.0 or the latest version?
Uninstall old LMMS from the Uninstaller.exe present along with LMMS. Reinstall new LMMS from lmms.io site.
Warning: avoid using 1.3.0 as your main LMMS because it is unstable and likely to crash if you do something silly (Like hit Ctrl-Right on an empty piano roll). Stick to stable versions, try 1.2.2. Also that 1.3 may not be able to open some songs 1.2 could; for instance I have a song made almost entirely of samples and 1.3 alpha can't open it right.

Current official version is 1.2.2
1.3 is not officially released, but is stable. However using it is on own risk!

How to to upgrade:
*If you have made anything ...Back-up your own stuff
*Un-install current installation
*(re)move the config dot-file
Go to
C:\Users\<Username>\
There you have the dot-config file: .lmmsrc.xml
Move it to a different folder.
*download a fresh new installation-pack either x32 or x64 of
LMMS 1.2.2
https://lmms.io/download/#windows
32 Bit:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... -win32.exe
64 Bit:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... -win64.exe
*re-install as administrator and grant all users access
Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
This is however only available as x64
https://lmms.io/download/#linux
Linux: In Edit| Settings| Misc -Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!!
MAC:
10.13+
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... c10.13.dmg
or -If you have an older MAC
10.8+
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/d ... ac10.8.dmg
MAC does not support VST, zasfx, lb302 and soundfonts.
