LMMS + Alter/Ego VST midi cc control help

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I successfully installed the VST plugin called Alter/Ego. Its really cool and works in LMMS. But Im having a bit of trouble with something the Alter/Ego help says

Alter/Ego keeps a cursor in the text, and advances by one syllable for each MIDI note.

Because the song can be played starting from any position, the text cursor may end up getting out of sync with the song.

Midi CC2 will set the cursor to a text line. For instance, if Alter/Ego receives CC2 value 57, the text cursor will be set at the beginning of line 57 for the next note.

Midi patch change will do the same thing as CC2 (provided for convenience for some Midi controllers).

Key switches (low notes from 0 to 23) will trigger lines 0 to 23. (higher lines cannot be triggered with key switches)

Editing or selecting a text line will do the same, and set the next playback start position to that line as well.

Every time playback is reset, the text cursor will restart at the last edited text line.

Midi CC3 will set the playback cursor within the current line.

To edit your text, you will want to setup your host to send all keypresses to Alter/Ego.
What are these Midi CC2 / 3 things and where can I access them in LMMS?

Btw here is the link to the VST

You have to move that square one octave higher. Then the lowest 23 keys will be able to choose which line of text you want to sing.

I still can't figure out what CC3 is.
You can find all of the CC knobs if you click the little wrench icon in VeSTige. I'm guessing the one you're looking for is the "Set Syllable" knob, it's the fourth one in the top row (Edited after playing with it a little). I...didn't know you could set lines like that. I've just been doing it with the notes on the piano roll all the way at the bottom until now and once I get past a certain point I just Don't. Thanks for teaching me something new!

" That square " is called Base-note
https://docs.lmms.io/user-manual/3-navi ... -base-note
It will set the pitch for the keyboard
The wrench-button is only found on VST-containers. It has nothing to do with CC-settings, or MIDI-setting. Instead this button opens the Dial-Array in VST-based instruments and effects, and it let the user bind any of these dials to automation

CC-settings can be found on the MIDI-tab, but cross-talk is not implemented yet, so LMMS cant send MIDI info, only receive input from a MIDI-controller/ Keyboard

Besides that, since you are new in Forum

Thank you musikbear and vlbonnie

I literally created the account just to answer the forum question.

I thought the forums were dead as no one answered the dude for so long. I guess not.

Thank you for letting me know where the cc3 button thing is. That'll make life so much easier.
