LMMS 64bit or 32bit+ questions

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi guys! I'm Brandy Starbrite and I'm new here.
I just have a couple of questions concerning this cool LMMS program.

1)I have a WIn Home Premium 64bit notebook. Which LMMS should I install.( Or which one is recommended) Should I install the 64bit or the 32 bit version? :?

2) Is there a newer version for windows coming out? If so, when will it be released? :?:

3)If a new version is released, should I uninstall the older version then install the new version. Or install the new version, and it automatically removes the older LMMS?

Hope I get replies to these little questions. Bye guys!
1. I'd try 64-bit. If it doesn't work out, you can just switch to 32-bit.

Can't provide useful answers to the others ATM.
2) not known

3) <win32 on xp> a little tricky. When lmms re-install, it does install everything in the location of the old installation. All userfiles are preserved (i still recommend a backup to a different location, but thats just precursion -and just me :p)
All programfiles are overwritten, preferences and paths are kept.
So that all look great - however, in add/remove in windows there are still references to the previous installations, but those now points to the newest installation! Eg -If you were 'foolish' enough to click the 'remove lmms 0.4.12' icon, it would infact remove your new 0.4.13 - and that would be the case for previous versions too. I doubt these references are of any significance nor size, but it is obvious that if a remove had been done before a new install, this annoynment would not exists - it looks like a tiny glitch in the installer, but as i said not important. Does the 64bit behave like this ..i have NO idea :p
Besides that -Search forum for 64bits before you decide.. there are several posts on glitches and issues - otherwise up to you.

Oh my Gosh! So sorry guys. :o I meant "Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit edition." Sorry for the mix up. And it's the 0.4.13 release, that came out this year. " I was in a hurry when I wrote my posted question. :? But by the way, thanks for the info lazerblade and musikbear. And thanks for answering my other two questions musikbear. Ill take the advice given, and even check out the forums for gliches and issues in LMMS Windows version etc. Hopefully I'll find something that I'm looking for.

Oh by the way, what is the best site to get free yet stable VST's and other instrumental type plug ins thingys, for the current LMMS 0.4.13 for Windows 7 ? The tutorials I saw on this forum so far, seem to cover plug ins, for the older versions of this cool software. :)
This whole VST thing is new to me. I bounced it up when I installed Audacity portable, on my notebook the other day.

Well that's a wrap for now. In the meantime,......I'm out. I'll be back. Bye, for now. :)

Oh my gooodness! Sorry about that. I didn't want to flood the forum with too many of my posted questions. :)
So in response, I'll post it so other users can learn where to get stable VST plug ins etc.
