Lmms Can't load VST Plugins

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Recently, I've had to reinstall Ubuntu several times to fix an issue I had. I finnaly got it running and installed lmms. However, whenever I load my old projects, I get this error:
The VST-plugin lmms/Plugins/Synth1/Synth1 VST.dll could not be loaded for some reason.
If it runs with other VST-software under Linux, please contact an LMMS-developer!
and running it through Terminal gives me this error:
remote plugin died! invalidating now.
I've checked the directory to ensure it was the same and even tested it with new project. VST's still work in that reguards, but my old projects can't load the VST.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04, and lmms 1.0.3. Also, I'm not using the build in Repository for lmms, I'm installing it through a ppa here:
https://launchpad.net/~irie/+archive/ubuntu/lmms
first

So you may not have all packs you had earlier? or?
I finnaly got it running and installed lmms. However, whenever I load my old projects, I get this error:
I bolded the part that is most important.
From this is understand:
* You have used lmms previously
* You have changed your OS
* LMMS does not work now
I've checked the directory to ensure it was the same and even tested it with new project. VST's still work in that reguards, but my old projects can't load the VST.
From this i read:
You CAN create new project
New projects CAN use VSTs
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04, and lmms 1.0.3. and

I know that most success is with the KX-studio repro, but lets see what we can do..

Fist:
you need to look for (tiny) discrepancies between the previous install-structure, and the one you have now.
I am next to sure that if im right in the pointers above, then it must be parth/naming errors..
Can you show me a mmp file of one of the failing projects?
I like to see the path for your vst

Then we have wine...
This is the first you should read
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... _.26_Linux

But if NEW project CAN use vst, then wine is not a culprit

Then
Just to be clear can you try starting a new project and then loading into it Synth1 from that exact path that is failing i.e. lmms/plugins/Synth1/Synth1 VST.dll BTW that looks like the 32bit version of Synth1. Is everything else 32bit or is it bridged ?

Unfortunately the fact that you can load other VSTs into a new project doesn't prove very much if it's only that particular one that is failing in your old projects.

Yes I have used lmms for about 2 years now. I haven't changed my OS persay, I tired upgrading to 16.04 and had issues with software and performance so I downgraded back and had problems with login loops. Finnaly figured out it was something with the graphics driver. I'm still using the same OS that I made that project in, however I'm not entirely sure if it's the same version of lmms. As I said in the previous post, I used the lmms ppa since the Ubuntu Software's version appears to not support VST's.

Yes, If I create a new project and load Synth 1 VST, it works just fine.
you need to look for (tiny) discrepancies between the previous install-structure, and the one you have now.
That's easier said then done. Considering that the last time I had to do a full reinstall was about a year ago, it's not easy remembering every little thing I had installed. I can't recall anything I have installed extra for lmms except for a few FX, however I know that's not the issue since lmms will tell you if it's an FX it can't load.
I am next to sure that if im right in the pointers above, then it must be parth/naming errors..
That was my innitial thought, however I've checked repeadatly and can't spot any differences in the paths. You can see if you spot the difference.
lmms path:
lmms/Plugins/Synth1/Synth1 VST.dll
Where the dll is on my computer:
lmms/Plugins/Synth1/Synth1 VST.dll
Can you show me a mmp file of one of the failing projects?

Here's a project that won't load correctly.

Sorry if I was unclear. What I meant by loading the VST in a new project was that I loaded Synth1 that is located at the failing path and it works just fine. As for the 32bit thing. I has tried configuring WINE into 32bit and even attempted using the 64bit version of Synth1, neither seem to fix the issue.
I have fiddled as bit
Could you try this file, and let me know if it loads

You can download it from address: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=030 ... 6529351277

You can delete file from address: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?del_id=03690676975509873461
Not sure what you did, but the file straight does not load. the error it show is:
The file /home/zach/Downloads/messing aroundmB.mmp seems to contain errors and therefore can't be loaded.
..darn
can you show us a screenshot of Path, the file/folder settings you have?

..i honestly cant see where the mistake is :/ (except the lame one i made..)..
Could you
* create a brand new project,
* add A VST
* make sure you can
* * play
* * save
* * reload
Then save that project as mmp, upload and give us the link

..grasping straws im afraid..
Alright, Created a new project, added Synth1 to it. made simple melody (cus why not), saved it, and reloaded the file. It load just fine.

Here's the file:
