external keyboard not triggering notes

Hello, I'm on windows 7 64-bit and I cannot get my Alesis Q49 midi keyboard to trigger notes of the instrument selected in the Song Editor. I can play them via my mouse, but not via the external keyboard.

Under Edit -> Settings, the MIDI interfaces is WinMM MIDI.

Ok, troffasky in #lmms helped me out. On an instrument track in Song Editor, click on the wrench/screwdriver and under Midi, select your midi input device.
