I have a plan for an LMMS community based guessing game on SoundCloud.
1. Choose a well known track from the LMMS community
- sources include the LMMS Sharing Platform, downloadable tracks from SoundCloud, etc.
- create one or multiple tiny slices (2 seconds each?) using a program like Audacity
2. Upload one slice to your SoundCloud
- make sure that the slice is audible
- name, tag, describe the upload properly, making clear that it is part of a guessing game
3a. Invite others to guess
- use the comments section of your upload
- one guess per person
- reply to guesses with right/wrong, cold/warm, etc. (optional)
3b. If nobody manages to guess it right after a while, help them out
- provide hints
- upload a second slice and allow everyone to guess again
- other additional help
4. If a person makes the correct guess
- provide a link to the full track (optional)
- declare the winner
- when the winner has done steps 1 and 2, s/he will host a new round by posting a link to a new tiny slice on the comments section of the previous round
- if the winner doesn't want to host a new round, s/he or the previous host will have to appoint another person
I will only start this if there are enough people interested, and willing to follow these steps to ensure the game runs smoothly. Before I start I also would like to ask you guys if my game plan is solid. Maybe something doesn't work, is missing, or isn't clearly explained in the steps above?
