ZynAddSubFX Show GUI hangs

Trying to lauch the ZynAddSubFX gui with the "Show GUI" button hangs or stalls lmms.
Eventually the program has to be terminated from not responding.

Compiled 0.4.13 locally in linux, and compiled many times before and with everything working, so
no idea why it is not fully working this time. The "Show GUI" for ZynAddSubFX appears to be the only thing that is not working.

Could you try to execute lmms from terminal and then paste the log? Sometimes useful things appear.

The first "QtXmlWrapper" line appears when dropping Zyn into the Beat Editor.
The second "/usr/lib/lmms//RemoteZynAddSubFx" line (showing as wrapped here) appears when clicking the "Show GUI" button and is where lmms hangs.

Checked if the files are really there
