How compatible is this VST on your machine?

Odin is a free VST that I found recently. I did some quick tests to check how compatible it was with LMMS on my machine. So far so good, but I was wondering how it would fare on other people's machines.

I would like to ask you people to download this VST and check if you can find anything unusual. In particular, check if all plugin settings are saved and loaded properly.

I used Odin 64 bit in LMMS 1.1.3 on a core i7 2.4Ghz CPU, with 6GB RAM.
LMMS wont load the dll at all.
There are no errors, it just do not load.
OS : winXP sp3 2gb ram
LMMS 1.1.90 -PR1
Seems o.k. on my old Win7 i3 3Gb x64 machine and on the newer Win 10 i5 6Gb laptop. Certainly saves and load patches o.k. though I've obviously not tested every possible option.

It sounds pretty good too.

Thanks guys. I was hoping this VST would work on both older and newer machines. I played around with it a few more times, and I'm not getting any errors. So to me, this VST is a keeper.

If anyone has a (old) machine that is similar to musikbear's, please test it.
My Specs: Win XP SP3
Less than 1 GB RAM. (Yep, I know that sucks. Lol!) :P
Lmms 1.1.3.

I'll take a chance and try and see, if this Odin Vst, would work on this PC.
I'm curious to try it out.
Hope it works. 8-)

If it does,....then Yay!!

PS: Not to change the topic.
But in case anyone wanted to know, Cosmo Girl 2 works well on Lmms 1.1.3 on my PC.

I'll be back. 8-)

Interesting! I actually thought that 2 gb was needed, you dont have even 1 on your XP, and lmms runs..!
Interesting!
I didn't know anyone still used Windows XP.... How does LMMS run when you have less than 1 GB of RAM??? Mine struggles - and I have 6 GB of RAM. Maybe if you have less than 10 instrument tracks it would be fine.

something weird happend, my pc leaked a fluid from the on button...
:]
neee.. i think that what we see here is that the PR-master has issues.
With Brandy being able to load on xp too, and with < 1 gb ram (!) -I think it is solely a dev version issue.
09 is flawed *sigh*

Have you all made sure that all is OK?

Yep. In my case, I unfortunately have to use Lmms 1.1.3 portable, (which I also have originally loaded my pendrive)
on this low end PC.
Even I was surprised that Lmms 1.1.3 portable, was also so CPU light, on this poor PC, with 512mb of RAM.
It's magic. 8-)

The reason why, I'm using Lmms portable, is because for some strange reason, any time I try to install an antivirus or any other software that comes with an installer etc. on this PC. It wouldn't install or it wouldn't load. :P
And all sorts of strange problems happens.
Part of that, has to do with the fact that this PC was once ridiculously virus ridden.
Good thing I destroyed all of the viruses on it, with Clamwin portable. :)
But, I might have to do a full OS reinstall.

I can use about five Synth 1's on this PC, together with a few Lmms plugins and a few audio files.
If I do too much, like for eg. make too many note melody segments in the song editor, slow down occurs
when playing my tracks in Lmms.
Because of this limitation, I discovered/learned some cool tricks in Lmms, to prevent slowdown.
I must say, that B n B editor really comes in handy and is a big blessing. Lol! ;)

The other thing, is that when you close Lmms 1.1.3 portable, on this PC, it freezes this poor PC.
So I learned a trick to prevent freezing.

Brandy Tip: If you're unfortunate to have a bad PC like me and you're somehow running Lmms Portable 1.1.3.
1)Immediately after closing it.

2)Wait a quick sec, click on your screen.

3) Then repeatedly press F5 to refresh the page multiple times.

4) Wait another sec, then repeatedly press F5 again as back up.
That'll prevent the annoying freeze ups. :)

On another note:
I just tried a few times, to load Odin 32 bit via Vestige.
I got this message:

Hmmm,....this is an interesting problem. It wouldn't load on my side too. :geek: :P
