VST issue // How to debug LMMS 1.1.3 Windows 64bits ?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.

No. im pretty stumped on this one. If its not just 'out of ram', then its really suspect that this happens almost at same number of loaded vsts.

I would though make some experiments, in that respect -f.i. How is the situation id you
try to load :

* 15 instances of a well known working 64bit VST, and then load a 32 bit VST
* 30 instances of a well known working 64bit VST, and then load a 32 bit VST
* 45 instances of a well known working 64bit VST, and then load a 32 bit VST
* 49 instances of a well known working 64bit VST, and then load a 32 bit VST

in order to establish When does the issue kick in, but mostly, im stumped

Very weird...
So, I did your test :
VST 64bits (well know) : Camel Crusher
VST 32bits(Bigkixdippa or T-Force Alpha Plus or any 32 bits VST)

15+1 OK
30+1 OK
45+1 OK
60+1 OK

62+1 caused the problem..
RAM used 50%... (4GB/8GB)
CPU used 10%

Could you try to reproduce the bug on your computer please ?

Thanks by advance !

I cant use 64b at all :)

But you gave new info now.
The vst's are effect-vsts!
That could be important.

And one more important thing. Upstream you wrote:
I bought 4Gb more of RAM
So you recently expanded your ram?
Have you done tests on that ram?
Does it all register at bootup?

Oh I didn't know You have a 32bits !
Both VST Effects/ VSTi (i.e synth1)
Now I have 8Gb, Windows recognize it because with 4Gb and my biggest project : 90% RAM used
Now with 8Gb : 50% RAM used
So how to test my RAM ?
Windows whe'n I do ctrl+shift+ESC shows 8gb RAM

This issue is a real pain for me :( I love LMMS so I'm sad anything can't be done

Ok! Also important.
Windows whe'n I do ctrl+shift+ESC shows 8gb RAM
Then its propl. fine. But, You can test your ram with Windows Memory Diagnostic tool
* Save all and close all programs.
* Press Windows Key + R, type “mdsched.exe” into dialog that appears
* press Enter.
* choose first of the two options
During the hot-boot, the ram will be checked for errors
