Bass does not fit

Hi!

Cool to have this Forum here I have some problems with LMMS and hope this is the right place to ask. I am a very bad beginner, so please excuse my questions!

I exported some MIDI files to LMMS and noticed that the basses of my SoundFont sounded very uncool. So I went to "My Samples"->"Basses" and replaced the SoundFont bass by bass_punch01.ogg. Unfortunately, this bass does not fit the SoundFonts with the tone pitch. The pitch between two keys with this bass seems lower than the pitch between the same keys on a SoundFont instrument. I hope you get the problem? How can I fix it?

Also, which plugin do you suggest me to write my own basses? I found the triple oscillator, but it looks very complicated to me, and I am looking for something easier like a synthesizer.

Try not to use those low quality samples coming with LMMS, at least most of the OGG files are rather bad.. instead try for example the ZynAddSubFX bass presets or TripleOsc presets.
