Converting Audio to Piano Roll

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
Hi, I'm probably not explaining this right, which is why I haven't been able to find how to do this. Right now the only thing I haven't figured out how to do in LMMS that is able to be done in other software is turn an audio file (just a .wav sample) into a MIDI compatible file. I'm not talking about having each instrument it's own sample or anything, but have the first second on one note of the piano line, the next second of audio on the next note on the piano line, etc. Abelton has a write up of what I'm talking about on their tutorial, but I haven't been able to find anything like this for LMMS. Here is the link to the Abelton post. https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/conve ... o-to-midi/

If this can be done it would be great to know how because that's the only thing I haven't been able to do so far, and it would streamline my producing of low-quality, joke of songs.

Yes, im sorry, no lmms cant do that.
In fact afaik, there is no sampler that can run in lmms, that has this feature, at least no free samplers
Hey, just a quick update. I didn't find something that automatically did it, but I found a great VST plugin that samples which was half of my problem. The plugin is TX16Wx, and is free if anyone else has this problem.
