VST Track goes Quiet.

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
i'm new to LMMS and think its great, but when i try to create a bassline or loop using any of the VST's - they sound great in the intro of a song but then go dead quiet when the beat drops. i have tried rectifying this using the automation editor to make it louder when the beat drops but that doesn't work too well at all. Do i need to adjust something to get better sound quality when track are played together?

I'm not sure if this will help, but if you haven't already done so, put the VSTis on different FX tracks (you can do this by opening the vestige window then changing that number at the top to something other than 0, so you can adjust its volume with the FX rack)
Does the beat drop's volume went too high... or was it just having too much bass/instruments playing?

It could be possible though, that the sound will go blend into the rest of the music, and it is very hard to make its sound stands out from the rest.

One thing you can test if your VST really went quiet during the beat drop:
1) On your instrument rack (not in window), take a look at its left, can you see the 2 lights, one is green and one is just off(black)?
2) Press once on the black light and it'll turn red, while all the other green lights (including the other instruments) will turn off (black).
3) That button is to make the instrument solo, so all you can hear, is that instrument only.
4) Now play your song as usual, find out if it really when quiet during the beat drop.

Now, here is where it goes into two way:

If the VST is still playing during the beat drop:
1) Then there's a possibly that your other instrument's sound is too loud and you'll have to adjust their volume so that the VST will sound during the beat drop.
2) Take a look at the FX-Mixer's Master Volume. If when all the instruments are playing together, and the volume stays (almost) constantly on red colour and on the top level of the volume, then I suggest that you should tweak the sound volume of the rest instruments... otherwise it would sound too loud and all the instruments block each other's sound.
3) Pan out the instruments. There is a case where all the instruments cramped into a single position (in this case, the middle) and they sounded like a single instrument. What you have to do is to pan them out so that they don't just sound on the same position. To do this, on your instrument rack and on the right side is the knob for volume and pan. All you have to do is to put the instruments that sounded almost the same to pan across the stereo so they don't mix each other's sound. Bass and beats are recommended to stay on -10 to 10 of the pan.

If the VST is NOT playing during the beat drop:
1) There is a possibly of VST bug or problem to work with LMMS.
2) OR it's LMMS's bug and you should report it here:

I hope you can find your fix, and sorry for the late reply, I just joined this forum and hopes to help other people on LMMS ;)
