How to do Drum Rolls/Instrument Rolls!

Write guides and how-tos about LMMS for other members.
What I'm about to show you, I discovered myself! Today, I'm going to show you how to implement drum rolls/ any kind of instrument roll into making music!

The end result should look like this:

Here are the steps to do this!:

1.Open a new project, or the project you want to put your instrument roll into.
2.Pick out your instrument that you want (in my case, I used a Snare Drum).
3.Open the Piano Roll.
4. You want the note size to be small since this is going to play very fast, so maybe not 1/32th notes but use 1/16th notes instead, like in the picture above, because we want it to be fast but not THAT fast.
5. Keep the Quantization the same, we don't need to worry about that unless we are dealing with really small notes.
6. Finally, place 2 or more notes on each key, going down by one key each time until you are happy with what you hear (Look at above picture as an example).

There are more ways to do an instrument roll than just that, I just used that one as an example, feel free to add variation until you are happy with how it sounds!

Well, there you have it! Now you know how to do a Drum Roll!! :)

I'm looking at the pic and reading the tut.
And I must say, that's quite an interesting way to do a drum roll. :)
It goes from higher note, to lower note.

A good while ago, I was planning on trying something like that, with one of my songs.
I guess I'll do that, soon. :D
I would have never thought of that myself. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for sharing DJStarbreaker.
