replacing samples in bb editor

when i drag a sample, an instrument sometimes gets replace in the bb editor.
it usually happens when i don't want it to happen, but sometimes i do.
i've experimented several times, but i still don't know understand when bb editor does replace a sample and when it doesn't.

can someone help me?

When you drag it on top of an existing track the existing track gets replaced.

Try dragging it to the toolbar of the editor, that way nothing gets replaced. Or right click the sample in the browser and select send to bb-editor.
