Linux Debian: How do I get Calf Studio Gear into LMMS?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I just downloaded and installed all the stuff from their website... there isn't a VST, and I really want to use Calf Vocoder.

Can anybody help?

I'm using Debian with LMMS 1.2 RC4.
If I understand it right, you need Carla for that.

What is Carla and how do I get it? Or is it with LMMS 1.2 RC4? I'm not at my computer right now, so I can't check...
I just checked, and I do not have Carla, but the internet claims it's been part of LMMS since 1.1. I've never seen it. How can I get it? :(
It should be part of RC4.

Carla should be on the left side. (third and fourth from the top, like in the pic )
Like Vestige, which is a vst only plugin host, Carla is a plugin host too, but can do much more then vst.

I tried a self installer for linux, that worked for me. (openSUSE leap )

I have Carla installed, outside LMMS from the opensuse repositories.

You can probably get that self installer if you ask nicely on discord.
The picture is as you can see from rc2, the self installer gives you rc4.

Had some trouble getting Carla to work in lmms when I compiled RC3 myself, but now with the self installer it seems to work.
Need to learn how to use it. The start is easy, you drag Carla into the song editor.

My main interest in Carla is vst and the lv2 Calf plug-ins, but it can do much more.
