I wanted to add triplets to the song, so I went into the piano roll and changed the quantization to 1/12 to write that specific measure. Afterwards I went to another track, that I want to keep in normal 1/16 quantization, and tried to place a few notes. The notes were not aligning with the bars and seemed to cut short from the end of the bar if I moved them manually. Is there a way to fix this?
Triplets are indeed best made in Q 1/12, and that Q does also not fit the 'std' whole-note sequence, but in LMMS the notes will not move, when you change quantization Q, so your triplets will still stay in the 1/12 grid, even if you change quantization.HypnoticBass wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 5:37 pmtriplets and normal 1/16 quantization::notes not aligning with bars , fix
Your triplets will look odd in a grid for 1/16 quantization, and your 1/16 odd in the 1/2 grid, but they will still be correct!
So you can just change the Q as you want in any piano-roll. No previous places notes moves.
Besides that, since you are new in Forum
