Thank you, and I am afraid I need to cut some frequencies. :)

I am drowning the kick, and that is not intentional. Might have to side chain?
I would also like the bass to stand out more.
I just listened to the new link you posted.....
https://soundcloud.com/user586365033/doitnow

Tip: Okay, the kick and bass, both need more power and strength in them.

But, as many have experienced many times before, that is sometimes hard to do,
because both the kick and bass, have a tendency, to raise the frequencies
to a point, that they can cause, the entire track to clip. :P

I myself have been experimenting, with side chaining.
It's nice, but sometimes I don't like the results. I'm going to do more tests though.
But experiment with it and see if get any success. :D

Overall, the musical composition of this track, is really good as always. :D
Thank you.

I watched a vid of a guy using albeton.

He used a frequency analyser, and looked at every instrument.

Then he tried to cut the overlapping frequencies, which was a challenge because the kick and bass were occupying the same frequencies. :)

This is a good tutorial on House:
Fun to watch because you can also see in part one, the death of Disco. :P

I cant find that mixing vid anymore, but the basics I already mentioned. Cut over lapping frequencies.

This guy is a pro, and I am not sure we can do all he does in LMMS, but we can do most for sure.

I might do a rather dramatic change to the track, Biggest problem I have with the track: it does not make me wanna dance.

For some time, there is this nagging voice / feeling, that I am almost making House, but not really House.
Melody is to musical ? Not enough loop like.

I am making the lead more simple and I think I am on the right path.
Not taking away the syncopation of course, That needs to stay. Can't do house without syncopation, at least not the House I am after. ( which comes from Funk disco )

Also been putting allot of effort, in the percussion part, I was still not happy with it. Think I fixed that too.

Its funny how close my track is to trance, but that has probably allot to do with the strings I am using.

To be continued. :)
After watching this vid, my worries about my house track sounding like trance is solved.

The main difference seems to be in the percussion, were the house percussion is more like Funk.

Maybe that is a sign, that you want to make your own style of music, or in this case, your own
style of house music. Maybe your creativity is kicking in at full force.

Interesting. So you've re-stumbled on this problem again.
I remember months back, when you made some of your house songs, you noticed they sounded
a bit like trance. And with some of your trance songs, you noticed they sounded a bit like house music.
That is quite interesting.
I think the real difference between house and trance is in the percussion and syncopation.

Trance in general has a more standard four to the floor.

Also the repeating part seems different in trance and house. House has more of a short loop, but with the hi hats and such not standard but syncopated.

four to the floor.
Hopefully one day, I'll understand what that term means. :P
The bass drum or Kick pattern

ONE two three four.
ONE two three four.

1000 1000 1000 1000 and repeat :P

That's four to the floor, like in most dance and pop music,

Hip hop often deviates from this.

Not four to the flour

Trance ?
Four to the floor

Rap, four to the flour ( Don't let the bass fool you )

Hope this helps.

Aye. Thanks Gps.
I listened to all of the songs you linked, and I understand it better now.

But wait, that last one, by the Sugar Hill Gang, is four to the floor?
I took your advice, and ignored the bass. I think, I'll have to listen to it
again, because maybe I'm missing something here. :P
Its possible I am mistaken about rappers delight.

I do have trouble hearing the kick or base drum in this track.

Listening to it again, I am starting to doubt my previous statement.

Gonna see if I can find a midi file.
