Alter/Ego VST Won't Work

I am trying to run the Alter/Ego VST in LMMS, and it returns the error message "Can't find install directory, please reinstall." and I have tried reinstalling it multiple times to no avail (I am running Manjaro Linux, but I could run the standalone version of Alter/Ego properly via wine.).

What vers. of LMMS are you using?
Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!

Rem. to backup before you reinstall!

I am actually using rc7, because I was having issues with other VST's, which now work perfectly fine, so I don't think the version is an issue.

That issue is solved with the " Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!! " -Just to let you know
