Vst issues.

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I got a new vst, it wans't like a regular zipped folder though, it was such a big file I got an installer and actually installed it as a program. A message popped up saying;
Setud detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. The following blocking issues must be resolved before you can install Microsoft visual c++ 2010 x 86 Redistributable setup software package. A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine.
What is it and how do I fix it? Thanks.

I got a new vst,
Noooo you did definitively not get a new vst. You got a ridiculous ancient vst !
You get this message, because the vst expect OS-components that was phased out after win2000
It may be possible to use it in comparability-mode. You find this option in the context-menu, if you right-click the LMMS-executeable (LMMS.exe)
What is the name of this VST?

It was actually possible to use the VST, and it worked fine, the reason I'm concerned is because when I run scans on my computer, it says there's a bunch of old/ broken files coming from the vst which is slowing my computer down. I think I should try to install Microsoft visual 2010. I don't really know.

It warned you
A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine.
If you install Microsoft visual 2010 you downgrade your win10!
I would not do that.
Is this Microsoft visual 2010 dependent vst all that important?

I would dump it, before i downgrade OS

I just decided to give up the software. You're right, it's not worth it to downgrade my windows for 1 vst. Thanks.
