Not sure how much effort would be involved and whether proprietary software coding prevents this, but a user programmable interface for the Ableton Push controller pad would give LMMS a real boost.

Looks like it can send plain MIDI, so it shouldn't be impossible to get some use out of it: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=189850
Not that the MIDI it sends looks too useful as-is, it'll need quite a bit of processing, just like the Novation Launchpad I had a look at a while back...
