I'm working on a track that is mainly in 4/4 time, but there are a couple of instances where samples do not fit nicely in 4/4 but rather 3/4 because of their length. The samples are isolated, so the easiest thing to do in theory is drop to 3/4 on just those sections, but I don't see an easy way of doing this mid-track in LMMS. Is this even possible? I could change the time sig to something divisible by both 4/4 and 3/4, but that would really mess up the timing in some of the instrument tracks I've already written (I've tried-maybe I'm just not applying it correctly). In any event, I'd appreciate some feedback or pointers from others who've been able to get this to work if there are any.
Timesignature is really only there for the composer.Mr. Lumbergh wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 8:30 pmI'm working on a track that is mainly in 4/4 time, but there are a couple of instances where samples do not fit nicely in 4/4 but rather 3/4 because of their length. Changing TS dos nothing to the track.
You can simply change TS as you like. It looks wrong in other TS, but the song in not changed
I made a vid some time back that addressed this: https://youtu.be/24iarkQyQ_8
