sfxr oversampling wrong pitch

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi,

I have a music project that contains sfrx plugins. I tried to export music with 8x oversampling just for fun, but I discovered accidentally that the pitch sounds wrong. Also, it doesn't depend of audio effects.

Yes! Oversampling is a kind of a rat in our barn.
Honestly, it does not work well.
The issue is, that plugins like Sfxr simply have a different way to handle oversampling, than f.i. zasfx. When you then mix these spectrums, it is next to inevitable that you get artefact overtones or disharmonies, clip pops and ...mehh
Dont oversample -At least not that crazy amount.
What i would do was to start with a middle value, if the output is good, then add a new middle-value, and re-export. That way you will find the best possible value, for that specific project, without going through every one. That is a good general test method.
